Congratulations on your pregnancy and thanks for stopping by! I have put together the following frequently asked questions so that you know what to expect during your maternity photography session.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are best done between 34-36 weeks. The timing just depends on how round your belly is and how round you would like to be in your photographs. I find most clients see me when they are 35-36 weeks pregnant.
How long will the session last?
Maternity sessions take approx 1 hour.
Can my hubby be apart of the session?
Yes I encourage your husband or partner can be apart of this session.
Can my dog be apart of the session?
Yes, some of my clients send “Rex” off to the pet parlour the day of the session so they are nice and fluffy for the photographs.
Can I bring Props
Yes you can bring props, some clients like to bring a hat, baby shoes, ultrasound image
What to wear
I can provide two “one size fits all ” maternity drapes. One baby doll style ivory with a split in the middle which can be used to either show or hide your belly. One black drape single shoulder tie with no split.
I also have a tuape and burgandy maternity dresses for sizes 10-16.
Please wear a nude coloured strapless bra and boy leg style underpants - please bring both ivory and black if you wish to use both drapes. Of course you can wear lacy underpants if you wish to feel a little more sexy.
If you wish to wear your own clothing please choose plain solid colours - denim jeans, black long pants (even gym/yoga pants can look good also a gym/crop top bra can work too). Colour themes that compliment each other are a must for example: Navy/Khaki : Beige/Cream : grey/pink : blue/green/white: black & white or choose one colour and wear a different shade for example: Navy, denim, light blue, aqua, mixed with white.
If you can’t decide then the most important thing is they are plain solid colours with no patterns or visible licence trademarks like billabong, Hurley, Nike etc. For they guys and gals throw in both a black and white t shirt/top.
